Happy New Year

And the urge gets scratched...

Hope everyone has a happy New Year and comes up with better resolutions than Bush:


People always ask me about a New Year's resolution -- my resolution is, is that they'll [our troops will] be safe and that we'll come closer to our objective, that we'll be able to help this young democracy survive and thrive and, therefore, we'll be writing a chapter of peace.

It is my understanding that New Year's resolutions are supposed to be about something we can change about ourselves to make us better people. Bush apparently has a different understanding wherein a resolution is just a vague hope for a better future. Of course, I doubt he has any ideas that will actually lead to a better future, so I guess a vague hope is the best we can expect him to offer. It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't think that there is anything about himself that needs improvement. He seems just that clueless.
